With the the summer season soon approaching, this also means festivals are on their way.
Its time to grab your bucket hats and throw your coats and scarfs to the back of your wardrobes and get ready for a summer full of events wether you plan on booking any festivals or have your tickets already secured.
At the moment with this horrible British weather, summer may not be on your radar, however in a few weeks it’ll be here and better than ever.
For many people 2022 may be the first year attending a camping festival, if so here are some top tips of tings I recommend you bring post COVID that you may forget
THINGS YOU MAY FORGET
- Hand gel (not only to rid Covid but also for the nasty toilets - Pack light makeup - Portable charger - Cool pair of sunglasses - Toilet roll (sounds strange but you NEED) - Speaker (keeps you entertained when your getting ready) - Hair ties ... And so much more
Here’s a video made by Emma Kapotea on Youtube that shows you everything you may need for a festival.
Cancellation of festivals in 2020
In 2020, many of us had a myriad of exciting things booked. Including festivals.
When covid hit all festivals and special events in the UK were shut and closed for business. Meaning many refunds or tickets for the following year.
With the on-and-off lockdowns meant many people the following year didn’t get their tickets as the uncertainty of whether or not these events would officially go ahead. Most large festivals such as Official Reading and Leeds, and Glastonbury didn’t sell out immediately as it normally would.
However in 2022 many festival goers have been left ticketless as they sold out immediately. Meaning many festival goers were left ticketless. Nonetheless ticket holders have busy weekends planned ahead and are ready to go.
I asked on my instagram the following questions on instagram to find out wether a festival you had booked in 2020 was cancelled, and wether you will be attending one post COVID. This is to find out the difference of attendance, and the impact COVID had on festival goers.
Did you plan to go to a festival in 2020, but it was cancelled during covid?
Have you got a festival booked this year?
